1.    Open the Trackback Wizard page
2.    Copy the lowest section (R click Copy or Ctrl+C) or copy it from here.
<a href="http://web.forret.com/tools/trackback.asp?title=<$BlogItemTitle$>&blog_name=<$BlogTitle$>">trackback</a>

3.    Open your Blog Manager
4.    Select the tab "Settings"
5.    Scroll down below the Disqus insertion code and create a couple of spare lines with your ENTER key.
6.    Paste the code previously copied. (indicated by the arrow)

7.    Highlight the field marked <Blog Title> and replace it with your own blog name title. This will create this field                prefilled each time. (Remove the angle brackets)
8.    "Done"
9.    "Update"

To see it in effect click on a blog post title.

1.    The comment facility will open and way down the bottom of this you will see an underscored word trackback.  This        is apparent at the end of the statement " blog comments powered by DISQUS " (I would strongly recommend that you replace the word trackback with a small symbolic character. This has been reasoned to potentially cause confusion by readers thinking that they can Pingback your blog which is most definitely not the function of this facility.

2.

3.    Click this and the Trackback Wizard form created by Peter Forret will open.  This is just slightly different to the            original in that it has some mark-ups already placed.

4.    You need to obtain the Trackback URL from the blog post of the piece you wish to make the Pingback to. Insert             that into the field marked:
        (Cited blog)
        Trackback URL

5.    You should notice that your blog title is prefilled along with your own posts' Trackback URL.
6.    Obviously the excerpt is up to you and the "Title of post"  you fill in.

I would like to thank Grace Hu-Morley for her very interactive input, critical analysis of the method and terminology and for suggestions on aspects that require some follow up. Grace made the process much quicker for me than I expected and the outcome is almost as good as I could hope for because of this.
